About JCPL

The Jackson County Public Library (JCPL) is a Department of Jackson County Government and operates within the County structure and under the auspices of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners.

The Library is primarily funded by the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners . Other sources of funding include State, Federal, Foundation and private grants when available and applicable to specific needs. You can support your library through private individual donations made directly to the library. These donations can be for specific purchases or for general use.

Jackson County Public Library is one of three County libraries in the Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System (PPLCS).  The other PPLCS libraries are:

All of these Libraries offer services to patrons in all three counties and work together to meet the informational, cultural, recreational, and lifelong learning needs of all our residents.

Jackson County Public Library is one of three County Libraries in the Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System and a member of the Panhandle Library Access Network (PLAN), a consortium serving 17 counties in the Florida Panhandle.
